Hello. We need a full-time Senior Content Producer. Is it you?
We’re after a genuine all-rounder – and praying such a mythical creature exists. Someone smart, enthusiastic and resourceful, who’s as happy running a tone of voice workshop as writing (or editing) web copy.
Who we need
You will be…
…client-friendly. Assured and upbeat in pitches and presentations, smart and strategic in workshops and consultations – a brilliant blend of style and substance. We run lots of client-facing consultations – from pitches and discovery workshops to presentations – and you’d be confident leading some of these.
…able to write & edit. Away from client-facing meetings, you’ll need to be able to take on writing projects. From drafting campaign copy to interviewing & writing up case studies, you’ll need to be a quick and versatile writer. We QA everything in the studio, so you’ll also need to be a good copy-editor – with a keen eye for detail, a firm feel for structure and a strong sense of what good (and bad) copy looks like.
…a catalyst. Someone who makes things happen – you’ll be involved in planning and progressing work across the studio, will take responsibility for any projects you’re leading, and help ensure the best use of your and the team’s time and talents.
…seasoned. We need someone who can hit the ground running – so you’ll need to have some strong professional experience. Although we value skill and experience, being a good fit is just as important. In our book, a spark, and a willingness to learn and adapt, go a very long way.
Finally, we're not looking for shrinking violets. Not because we don’t love them – some of us are them. But a big part of this role is to be proactive and client-facing, so we’d like this to come naturally to you.
A bit about us
We’re Lark. Our team of writers, editors and creatives help brilliant brands find their voice and tell their stories. From our studio in central Brighton, we produce the highest quality content for some amazing organisations.
Our work includes brand language, copywriting and editing, creating brand and marketing materials, running content workshops, producing tone of voice and messaging guidelines, crafting straplines, building content strategies, as well as running training and consultancy.
Our clients span charities, educational institutions, arts organisations and high street retailers. They include Drinkaware, PDSA, Imperial College London, Age UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Kew Gardens, Mint Velvet, Team GB, the Ivors, Crohn’s and Colitis UK, the National Childbirth Trust (NCT), and many more.
We're a small agency that punches above our weight. As there aren't too many of us, that means you’ll have a real part to play in where the business goes and the clients we take on.
You’ll be working with smart, creative people who will make you better at what you do. We always want to be proud of the work we do – and that's why we don't accept every project that comes along. For you, this means we always have an interesting and inspiring mix of clients and projects rolling at any one time – and you'll get to work across a wide range of content areas.
You’ll also be treated with respect – our co-founder, Paul, has (literally) written the book on starting an ethical business. And you'll be working in the heart of Brighton – a stone’s throw from the Royal Pavilion and North Laine.
